After a solid 12 months break from creating art while I completed my Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing I am so happy to be back in the studio, doing what I love!

Abstractions are a series of works that focus on form and symmetry in the built environment where building façades are a key influence in the design. These works were exhibited in the 2017 NZ Art Show, at the TSB Arena in Wellington.

Heres a sneak peek at some of the new works that will be part of the Pigment exhibition at Matchbox Gallery in Wellington. Exhibition opens 28th March at 5:30pm, the show will run until the 16th April.

Bridge Form is a new work where the focus is on “slicing” the composition to allow for multiple forms to exist in the one space. Much like in the reality of space there are multiple pieces that join together – not always in a cohesive and harmonious manner.

Sketching can open up creativity allowing exploration into more unusual options and ideas before refining a design for a final watercolour work.
